VILLAGE OF SAN LEANNA CALENDAR
THE VILLAGE OF SAN LEANNA was incorporated in 1970 and is located west of IH35, east of Manchaca and on the southern edge of Austin. San Leanna straddles FM 1626, covering approximately 254 acres, with about 217 homes located within the Village limits. San Leanna is governed by a Board of Aldermen, comprised of a Mayor and five Council members, elected by Village citizens. The Council meets on the third Thursday of every month (except December), and all residents are encouraged to attend. San Leanna has its own well system which produces the municipal water supply, providing water to residents from two sources – ground water pumped from the Barton Springs segment of the Edwards Aquifer and surface water purchased from the City of Austin.
COMMUNITY INFORMATION – San Leanna keeps residents informed by several methods:
- Community bulletin boards. Information including Board of Aldermen meeting and Zoning Committee meeting agendas, upcoming events, etc. is posted on boards. Bulletin boards are found at the following locations:
- at the Community Center
- on the corner of Old Manchaca Rd. & FM 1626 (east end)
- near the corner of Circle Dr. & Ridge Drive
- Quarterly newsletters
- Periodic flyers/postcards

AGENDAS – Board of Aldermen/Council meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Community Center (except December), located at 11906 Sleepy Hollow Ln. Agendas for Special meetings will be posted as scheduled. Agendas are posted on each of the community bulletin boards, noted above, 72 hours prior to each meeting.
ZONING – The Zoning Ordinance addresses requirements to be followed for building new homes, remodeling existing homes, or adding improvements to property, such as decks, porches, patio roofs, carports, permanent or portable accessory buildings, swimming pools, spas/hot tubs, and/or sprinkler systems. Avoid costly fines by knowing what is required by the ordinance BEFORE you begin your project. Call the Village to obtain a copy of the Zoning Ordinance and/or other ordinances or click on the ordinance menu at the top of the page.
BURN/DROUGHT STATUS – Go to the Travis County Fire Marshal site to check on current burn and/or drought status.
