Please join us for a spooky ride through San Leanna this Halloween (Saturday, October 31st) by joining the parade or watching from your front yard! Residents are encouraged to decorate vehicles much like you would for a trunk or treat event. The parade will visit homes south of FM 1626 first from 5:15 – 5:45 and the move to the north side of FM 1626 from 6:00 – 6:45. PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE
South parade (5:15) – line up on Sleepy Hollow, pointing south
North parade (6:00) – line up on Chapel Ln, alongside the cemetery, pointing north
The 15-minute intermission should give people time to either join if they had been watching on the southside, line up again, or head home to watch the second leg of the parade!
Due to concerns around face-to-face gatherings and restrictions on gathering size, a vehicle (car, truck, golf cart, etc) is necessary to participate in the parade. Also, for safety’s sake, we ask that residents remain in their vehicles for the entire parade and that spectators refrain from approaching the moving vehicles!
Please wear a mask and/or observe social distancing measures while collecting goody bags and while viewing the parade from any location other than your own yard. We want to make sure everyone stays healthy!
Email a photo of your decorated car and/or your costumes to email@example.com to be entered to win the contest for best décor and costume!
5 pm at the Community Center – before and during the South portion of the parade
6:30 pm at Jim Payne Park – during and after the North portion of the parade
The goody bag portion of the event is for San Leanna residents and family only – please do not share event information with friends outside of the Village as that may lead to a shortage of treat bags.
If you would like to contribute a treat of some sort to the bags, please contact Rebecca Howe (512-280-3898 or email the office) to arrange drop off and the treats will be distributed into bags before Halloween day/night.
