It has come to our attention that there is a growing issue regarding dog waste being left in residents’ yards along the right-of-way and near mailboxes.
When walking your dogs, please be courteous to your neighbors and remove and dispose of your pet’s droppings correctly! Also, please remember that allowing dogs to roam off lead – which includes letting them outside to use the restroom in an unfenced area – is a violation of the Village Zoning Ordinance.
If you repeatedly allow your pet to defecate in a neighbors yard without proper care to remove the waste, this can be considered a nuisance and could lead to a complaint and violation being issued.
